Play and Learn - with Nancy Olt

If you recently completed Beginner Bridge, or know the basics but want to combine your play with a learning experience, try this series! On four Thursday evenings, you will play bridge at an online table with four people, be able to ask questions as you go, then watch and listen as the teacher shows you the best techniques on each hand. No special conventions assumed - this is to help improve your basics and give you confidence.

 

Beginner Part 2  - with Nancy Olt

If you recently took a “Learn to Play Bridge” class, or would enjoy a gentle re-introduction to modern bidding methods, this course is a great next step. As you play hands in class reflecting the day’s topic, we’ll also discuss strategies for taking all your tricks. Topics will include: Preemptive Opening Bids; Overcalls; Doubles; Stayman; Jacoby Transfers; Strong 2C Opening Bids; Bidding to Slam; Defensive Signals.

Nancy Olt will be the teacher for these two courses. Nancy

is a lifelong card player and learned bridge in college. Now a retired

financial advisor, she has more time for playing and teaching the game.

Nancy's love for bridge and patient, humorous approach make her

popular with new players.
