I am excited to welcome renowned Jeopardy Champion and expert bridge player James Holzhauer as guest teacher! Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a master strategist how he uses his knowledge of the odds to win more tricks. Most of us don't have time to memorize pages of statistics, but you'll be surprised to learn how knowing a few key probabilities will translate into superior declarer play. Along the way James will share some of his related tactics. Will he risk his contract in search of an overtrick? After his presentation, James will challenge you with several practice deals you will declare in class, then walk you through the expert strategy on each one. In my Shark Bridge classroom, every student declares every practice hand. No partner is needed. This class is appropriate for Advanced Beginner level through Intermediate/Advanced duplicate players. Topics will include: Finesse or no? Combining your chances Percentages of common splits (3-3, 4-1 etc) Restricted choice and double finesses Vacant spaces When to risk your contract at matchpoints
