This class will meet via Zoom on Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 8:15 PM Eastern time. If you recently took a “Learn to Play Bridge” class, or would enjoy a gentle re-introduction to modern bidding methods, this course is a great next step. As you play hands in class reflecting the day’s topic, we’ll also discuss strategies for taking all your tricks. Students bid and play hands in class using our fabulous online classroom, Shark Bridge. It's easy and fun! Nancy Olt, your teacher, is a lifelong card player who learned bridge in college. Now a retired financial advisor, she has more time for playing and teaching the game. Nancy's love for bridge and patient, humorous approach make her popular with newer players. Aug 3 Strong 2C Opening Bids and Bidding to Slam How to score big with those wonderful mega-strong hands Aug 10 Signal your Partner on Defense How to tell your partner what to lead to defeat the contract These classes will not be recorded and videos will not be available, as the majority of the class is actual bidding and play to practice what you're learning. This can't be replicated on video! However, each topic stands alone, so if you miss a week, you will not be lost the next week. We will still send you all the handouts and homework for any lesson you miss.
