Wednesday evenings at Newton South High School
Learn to Play Bridge
8 weeks, 9/18/19 - 11/13/19 (No class 10/9)
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Engage your brain. Bridge is an exciting game of logic and deductive reasoning, and it also offers a great chance to be social. You play with a partner against another pair, so bring a friend (or a foursome) if you can; otherwise we will pair you up in class. You'll learn by playing, not lecture, getting all the basics—how to bid, play, and defend a hand; we'll also go over the principles of modern bidding. Learn this game and you'll enjoy years of entertainment, mental challenge, and meeting new friends.
Note: This is a beginner class, but it's also open to players who'd like a refresher. Class fee is $199 plus a $10 materials fee for Bridge Basics 1, payable to the instructor. This class will teach 21st-century bidding, including "Two-Over-One Game Force" from the start.
